About Us

How it Began

In 1996 Parties That Pop founder, Rhonda Pearson, began her entrepreneurial endeavors as a street vendor for Washington Redskins' sporting events.

It was not long thereafter that she began providing services as a wedding decorator. Upon the commissioning of a balloon arch, Rhonda discovered balloon artistry and fell in love.

Rhonda is a Certified Balloon Artist and an expert in all things balloons. She is often consulted for instruction and logistical planning by event professionals. Parties That Pop is a proud member of Qualatex Balloon Network and other professional trade organizations.

Rhonda has designed for more than 2,000 events in the national capital region and has worked with some of the most prestigious personalities in the events industry, including David Tutera.

Parties That Pop services include: television set design and staging; balloon arches; balloon walls; balloon columns and drops; custom centerpieces; 3D balloon sculptures; Megaloons; MagicArch; Rouse; and SDS systems. Rhonda is available for corporate events, private parties and any occasion for celebration.

Parties That Pop is committed to making a difference in the community. Annually, complimentary balloon decor is gifted to local, non-profit organizations through the Parties That Pop 'POP'ulation Program.

Rhonda continues to educate herself and her staff in the discipline of ballooning. She believes that everyone should experience her passion for balloons.

Parties That Pop's core values are providing the absolute best balloon designs and outstanding customer service. Accountability is our hallmark.
